Good Morning!
We spent the Weekend in San Diego for Brian's 30th birthday this past weekend! It technically wasn't the weekend, but it was for us! We had originally planned to head out early Sunday morning and come home Tuesday afternoon. Fate had other plans as Brian came down with Shingles after pinching a nerve in his back, so we cancelled our trip. Sunday morning, Brian decided that if he was going to be miserable, it might as well be at the beach. So, we rebooked the hotel, packed up the car and headed out.

We got there about 5pm, just in time to get cleaned up and head to Old Town for dinner before they closed for the night. Note to self -- always get dinner at Old Town at 8pm, your food will be out in 5 minutes!
After dinner we hit up the Gaslamp and got a sundae at Ghiradelli's. It was delicious!

Monday was Brian's birthday. Can you believe he is 30?! We woke up early and walked around Balboa Park for an hour before everything opened. Balboa is HUGE! We got almost all of our 10,000 step goal for the day just walking around there!

We went back to the hotel and grabbed our swim suits and spent the next few hours on the beach. For two Redheads we did really well and hardly burned! Thank you SPF 80 and reapplying every 45 minutes! We even got to watch a couple get married while we were on the beach.
After the beach it was time to get showered and shined and head out to dinner! We found another fun place at Old Town for food, and walked around for a few hours.
Tuesday morning we slept in a little and packed up and headed out. Of course we had to stop and play at La Jolla for a bit before heading home! We found a million Sand Dollars and brought them home as a fun keepsake for the weekend.
